RINO Groep
RINO Groep, a continuing education institute for mental health care (GGZ) and related sectors, decided to prepare its Utrecht location for hybrid teaching. Their goal was to facilitate more in-house classroom education and reduce reliance on renting additional spaces. Additionally, it was important to create a welcoming and comfortable environment while ensuring flexibility and practicality. We were brought in to guide this project from design to completion.
Utrecht
To achieve this, several small workspaces—called Subs—were created, providing students with dedicated areas to work on case studies and offering teachers a space for meetings. Sliding walls were installed in the classrooms, allowing the spaces to be easily divided into two smaller rooms whenever the teaching format required it.
A modern and inviting atmosphere was achieved through a carefully selected mix of furniture, carpeting, acoustic lighting, and semi-transparent curtains. The soft color palette, featuring primarily blue and green tones, gives the space a calm and timeless appeal. Walking areas are subtly highlighted with wood-look PVC flooring in a luxurious Hungarian point pattern. The classic school chair, featured at RINO in a variety of vibrant colors, comes from our The Green Lab collection and is made from recycled plastic bottles.
