Stedelijk Gymnasium Haarlem

In the center of Haarlem, you can find the Stedelijk Gymnasium, one of the oldest schools in the Netherlands. It is housed in a national monument consisting of two parts: a classical section dating back to the 19th century and a newly added section. To make the interior suitable for modern-day education, a renovation was needed, presenting the perfect opportunity to apply our expertise in the field of education!

The design by Brique Architects provides space for various learning styles. In addition to the traditional classrooms, the school now also features multifunctional and multimedia rooms. Outside the classrooms, designated areas allow students to work in groups.

Additionally, more work and meeting spaces have been created for the teachers. In collaboration with Brique, we advised on and supplied furniture that supports these diverse ways of working.
